Lee Mendelson grew up in the debt collection industry. He attended his first Commercial Law League of America convention at the age of nine with his father. During high school, he worked Saturday mornings at the Mendelson Law Firm in Memphis, Tennessee, helping to manage commercial and retail collection accounts. Upon his graduation from Emory University and Northwestern University School of Law, he returned to Memphis where he honed his skills for four years under the expert tutelage of his father, former CLLA President Paul I. Mendelson, and brother, David L. Mendelson.

Since those early days, Lee has become a seasoned litigator and collector as well as a sought after lecturer on the topics of negotiation and debt collection. He is licensed to practice law in California, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Georgia. Lee is on the board of associate editors of the Depaul University Commercial Law Journal and is a former member of the CLLA Young Members Executive Council.

In 2004, Lee married his beautiful bride, Joanna Liebross Mendelson, and relocated to her native California. Today, Lee has founded the Mendelson Law Group in Los Angeles. The firm is based on the same principles of integrity, strong client service, and aggressive representation that Lee has exemplified his career.
